Because Being Green is Really Cool: Spring Hill Students Celebrate Walking to School
International Walk to School Day was earlier this month.

Spring Hill Elementary School students took International Walk to School Day to heart this month.
Teachers did, too: They met their students in the children's neighborhoods and walked or biked to school with them in the cool, early-morning air on Oct. 9.

One student chose roller blades as her preferred method of transportation. Another used his wheelchair because of an injured leg. And teacher Samantha Fitzsimmons marched with a group of sign-carrying students as they sang.
Led by megaphone-toting teacher Debra Bulford, they chanted:
