
Celebrate summer and America’s spirit of community at the McLean Community Center’s annual Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, June 27, from 5–10 p.m. at Langley High School, 6520 Georgetown Pike in McLean. This free, family-friendly event features music throughout the evening, delicious food, drink and dessert trucks, festive giveaways from community sponsors, and a spectacular fireworks show to close out the night. In honor of the United States and Virginia 250th Anniversary celebrations, attendees can also enjoy special commemorative activities, including the official VA250 Mobile Museum Experience and participate in a festive family parade. Free onsite parking, as well as additional satellite parking with accessible shuttle bus service, will be available; shuttle services will run from Churchill Road Elementary School, St. Luke's School & Church, and McLean Community Center. Please note: smoking, alcohol, vaping, glass containers, personal fireworks, weapons and pets are prohibited on school grounds.
