Car Flips Over During Police Chase At Tysons Corner Center

A car flipped over after the driver tried to avoid being pulled over at Tysons Corner Center.

MCLEAN, VA—A car flipped over after the driver attempted to avoid being pulled over by police at Tysons Corner Center Tuesday night.

Around 9 p.m., Fairfax County Police tried to pull over a Ford SUV for an equipment violation. The driver would not pull over and sped into the Tysons Corner Center area. Officers pulled up a police cruiser to stop the SUV, and the SUV rolled over.

The driver was taken to a hospital with potentially minor injuries. He will be charged with felony speed to elude. The driver has not yet been identified.

A witness photo shows at least 12 police cars and five other emergency vehicles arrived on scene when the driver was taken away on an ambulance.
