Chop't Creative Salad Company Coming to McLean

Chop’t Creative Salad Company is coming to McLean Shopping Center, according to an online ad posted Monday seeking employees. The store, according to the ad on craigslist, will be located at 1449A Chain Bridge Road in McLean.

It will be located next door to Advance Auto Parts at McLean Shopping Center; the new restaurant appears to be doing some renovations. “We can literally hear them banging next door,” the on-duty manager of Advance Auto said with a laugh.

The shopping center also includes a Books a Million, Total Wine and McLean Hardware. Santini’s New York Style Deli, a fairly new sandwich shop, is located adjacent to the center. The eatery was involved in a temporary dust-up over parking last year with McLean Shopping Center.

Chop’t has one other location in Northern Virginia, in Rosslyn, with reported plans to also open in Vienna. It has eight locations in DC.

Chop’t offers salads and sandwiches; you can order off the menu or create your own from an assortment of ingredients and 28 salad dressings.

In addition to everything from fried onions to fresh beets, you can also add proteins including turkey, chicken, steak, bacon, shrimp,tempeh or tofu to your creations.

The restaurant has a loyalty program with an app that tracks your points. The chain was first started 13 years ago with its first store in New York, by college friends Colin McCabe and Tony Shure.
