Clinical Nutritionist from Access Compounding Pharmacy in McLean to give Free Lecture on Diabetes Type 2 on Oct. 14

Alexandria Compounding Pharmacy, sister pharmacy of Access Compounding Pharmacy in McLean, will host a free lecture on Type 2 diabetes on Wednesday, October 14 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

During this interactive discussion, Dr. Hengameh (Heggie) Allen-Schaal, PhD, a clinical nutritionist and nutrition scientist at Access Compounding Pharmacy and Alexandria Compounding Pharmacy, will focus on what Type 2 diabetes is and the complications of diabetes such as vision problems, kidney disease, and increased risk of heart disease. Dr. Allen-Schaal will also discuss the causes of diabetes, diagnosis and treatment including dietary and lifestyle changes.
