Co-Founder Of BASIS Independent Mclean To Speak About First School In Tysons Corner, Tues., June 14

Michael Block of BASIS.ed Leads Info Session on First Private School in Tysons Corner, Va.

In preparation of the opening of BASIS Independent McLean, (which is Tysons Corner’s first prek-12th grade school), BASIS.ed’s co-founder Michael Block will speak at an information session on Tues., June 14 at the Westin Tysons hotel at 7 p.m., located at 7801 Leesburg Pike in Falls Church, Va. U.S. News & World Report’s Best High School Rankings report has listed three BASIS.ed schools in the nation’s top rankings – at second, third and sixth place and two BASIS.ed schools as top STEM Schools at fourth and sixth place. Block was recognized not only as a top educator by Noodle, an education website helping parents and students make better decisions about learning, but Noodle also noted Block for ‘creating educational institutions that combined the rigors of Asian and European schooling with the American system’s emphasis on creativity and originality.’

School registration is underway for Tyson Corner’s new school, BASIS Independent McLean. The school will be located at 8000 Jones Branch Drive in McLean, Va. and opens in August 2016.
