DC Man Charged In 5 Cell Phone Store Burglaries: Fairfax Police
A D.C. man has been charged with breaking into five cell phone stores in McLean and Hybla Valley, Fairfax County police said.
McLEAN, VA — A D.C. man has been charged with breaking into five cell phone stores in McLean and Hybla Valley in a week, Fairfax County police said Monday.
On Jan. 28 at 1:57 a.m., officers responded to a burglary at Boost Mobile, 8516 Richmond Highway. The suspect broke the front window with a rock, entered the store and stole the cash register. Surveillance footage captured the incident.
On Feb. 4, between 2:30 a.m. and 4:06 a.m., officers responded to two commercial burglary alarms at businesses in Hybla Valley. In all, police found a total of five businesses had been burglarized.

Detectives reviewed security camera footage from the businesses and determined the same suspect was responsible for the Jan. 28 burglary, and the four commercial burglaries near Hybla Valley, and the McLean burglary.
Cameras tied to the Connect Fairfax County program helped detectives identify a vehicle linked to at least one of the cases. Using license plate reader technology, investigators identified the suspect vehicle.

Jimmie L. Williams, 36, was detained by Metro Police officers after a traffic stop. Fairfax County detectives connected Williams to these burglaries:

Detectives obtained warrants for burglary, destruction of property, and petit larceny. Williams is being held at the D.C. Central Detention Facility, and will be extradited to Fairfax County, police said.
As detectives continue to work with other agencies in the National Capital Region to confirm Williams' involvement in additional cases, additional charges are anticipated.
