Elderly McLean Resident With Cancer A Victim Of Fraud
A 71-year-old woman battling cancer was one of the victims duped out of money, prosecutors say.

MCLEAN, VA—A McLean woman fighting cancer was among the victims of a $5 million fraud scheme leading to an arrest Thursday.
Keisha L. Williams, 42, of Ashburn was arrested and accused of duping victims out of money to spend millions on luxury purchases and travel. She falsely told the victims she needed money for health-care software purchased out of escrow in Austria. Federal prosecutors say she spent $1 million on luxury travel and $1 million on shopping at stores like Chanel, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton.
Court documents indicated the 71-year-old McLean resident made two wire payments totaling $95,000. Williams is accused of having an attorney prepare documents to make the payments look legal.
