Out for Fun Camp, Summer @ Potomac School

Out for Fun is designed to provide children with outdoor adventures. Campers are faced with daily challenges while having fun and learning new skills. Before each activity, instructors teach proper procedure and safety. As campers gain confidence in each activity, instructors demonstrate new techniques. Out for Fun activities include canoeing, rock climbing, and hiking.

Overnight camping trips are a highlight of this three-week program. Campers work together with their instructors to set up and take down campsites as well as help prepare meals. Hikes, campfire songs, and storytelling enhance the experience.

Campers are grouped by age and grade with activities appropriate to each age level. Level A participants have an overnight camp out once a week. Level B campers also have a weekly overnight camping trip, plus an additional two-night trip during the final week of the session. This longer trip is designed to provide more challenging activities.

Out for Fun campers have daily swimming lessons, if time allows.
