Fairfax County SWAT Team Raided Great Falls Poker Game: Report

Post reports that incident took place in November; county is cutting a deal not to prosecute in exchange for keeping cut of cash.

A report by the Washington Post on Tuesday says a Fairfax County SWAT team raided a Great Falls high-stakes poker game in November, terrifying the players and reportedly seizing more than $100,000 cash.

The paper describes the SWAT team bursting into a basement room and pointing assault weapons at the players.

Instead of charging players with illegal gambling the county is offering them a deal in exchange for keeping a cut of the cash seized at the game.
