Farmer's Market Opens This Week In McLean

MCLEAN, VA -- Farmers markets are opening again for the season, and McLean's market opens Friday, May 5.

The market is open Fridays from 8 p.m.-noon at Lewinsville Park (1659 Chain Bridge Road). Pets are not allowed, except for service animals. The market will run through Nov. 17. It will be closed for McLean Day on May 19.

The farmers market will celebrate opening day with live music. Many of the vendors are familiar faces from last year, but the market is introducing three new vendors: Layla's Lebanese Restaurant, Om Lassi and Hidden Creek Farms.

• Elation Wellness: healthy foods, Fairfax, Va.

• Hidden Creek Farm: produce, Delaplane, Va.
• J & W Valley View Farm: produce, Montross, Va.
• Layla's Lebanese Restaurant: Lebanese cuisine, Woodbridge, Va.
• Lois's Produce, LLC: produce, Montross, Va.
• Lyn Phipps Plants: flowers and home-grown plants, McLean, Va.
• Mt Olympus Farm: produce, Ruther Glen, Va.
• Om Lassi: Indian cuisine: Reston, Va.
• Reid's Orchard & Winery: beverages, Orrtanna, Pa.
• Salsa Las Glorias: L.C: salsa, The Plains, Va.
