Driver Dies In Great Falls 2-Vehicle Crash, Other Driver Hurt

Fairfax County Police say a person has died from injuries and another driver was injured.

GREAT FALLS, VA — One person has died following a crash in Great Falls Tuesday evening, according to Fairfax County Police.

The crash happened in the 700 block of Walker Road around 4:52 p.m. Police say a Ford F350 was heading east on Walker Road and crossed over the double yellow line. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a Dodge Ram, whose driver tried to avoid the crash. The Ford F350 struck a utility pole and overturned onto the road.

The Ford driver, Billy White, 64, died at the scene. The Dodge driver was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening juries.

Detectives are looking into whether a medical emergency or speed contributed to the crash. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
