Five Iron Golf Bringing New Indoor Entertainment Venue To Capital One Center

TYSONS, VA — A new indoor golf and entertainment venue is coming to Capital One Center in McLean.

Five Iron Golf announced Monday that it plans to open a 17,000-square-foot location at the mixed-use development in early 2027, marking the company's expansion into Northern Virginia. The venue will occupy two floors and include an outdoor terrace across from Ometeo and Stellina restaurants, within walking distance of the McLean Metro Station.

Golf, Dining And Entertainment Under One Roof

The new location will feature the company's golf simulator technology alongside a full-service bar and restaurant. Guests will have access to simulator bays offering virtual play on hundreds of golf courses, as well as swing analysis technology.

In addition to recreational play, the venue will offer golf instruction, club fittings, leagues and tournaments. The space is also designed to host corporate events, private parties, happy hours and other social gatherings. According to the company, the menu will include bar fare, wood-fired pizzas and specialty cocktails.

"As we set out to bring the Five Iron brand to Northern Virginia, Capital One Center was exactly the kind of destination we had in mind for a flagship location — a place to build the brand in this market for the long term," Evan and Nicole Klatt, managing members of TheOwen Holdings, the franchise group bringing Five Iron Golf to the Washington, D.C., area, said in a statement. They cited the concentration of Capital One employees, nearby restaurants and entertainment venues, and Metro access as key factors in selecting the site.

Capital One also said the addition aligns with its plans to expand entertainment offerings at the development.

"Experiential retailers are a key part of our entertainment and recreation strategy," Erin Mical, Capital One's vice president, said in a statement. "Five Iron will offer the high-energy atmosphere and vibrant gathering place that our associates and community are looking for."

Expanding Footprint

Five Iron Golf currently operates nearly 50 locations across 20 states and eight countries, including a location in Washington, D.C. The company said additional details about construction timelines, hiring and local leadership will be announced closer to the opening date.

Capital One Center is a 35-acre mixed-use development anchored by Capital One's headquarters. In addition to Capital One Hall, The Perch, The Watermark Hotel, retail and restaurants, the development includes Capital One Park and outdoor pickleball courts.
