How To Track Santa's 2018 Visits To McLean

When will Santa visit your neighborhood? The McLean Volunteer Fire Department has released the Santa ride schedule.

Santa will make his rounds through town atop an antique fire engine escorted by the McLean Volunteer Fire Department in early December.

Santa will visit different neighborhoods in McLean from Dec. 1-22. He will typically be head out from downtown McLean between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Spectators can get candy canes from Santa's helpers as they pass by.

Below is the schedule for the first five days. You can check back for the full schedule and track Santa's estimated location in real time at mcleanvfd.org/santa.

  • Saturday, Dec. 1: Kings Manor/Dolley Madison Library Area
  • Sunday, Dec. 2: Churchill Road, McLean Central Park area
  • Monday, Dec. 3: Churchill Road/Dead Run Drive area
  • Tuesday, Dec. 4: Salona/Franklin Sherman School area
  • Wednesday, Dec. 5: Balantrae/Evermay area

In the case of inclement weather, dates may be rescheduled. Check mcleanvfd.org/santa and Facebook for changes.

You can also catch Santa at the WinterFest Parade on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 3:30 p.m. The parade goes down Old Chain Bridge Road from Fleetwood Road to Elm Street.
