Is it September yet?

Is it horrible that I'm ready for the kids to return to school now?  I love my cherubs but it's time my friends to get those yellow school buses gassed up and on the road.  Speaking of school - I'm not looking forward to the crush of parents and kids at my local McLean elementary school on Friday, August 30th when we rush over to the school to find out what teachers our children will have for the year.  Isn't there a better method?  Say, e-mail?  From what I've heard, even the teachers do not know their class list until the morning of the big reveal.  Is it really that hard to formulate the classroom lists?  Sure, there are always folks who register late in the game but I would assume by mid-August the schools should have he 90 percent solution.  What do you think?  What is a good solution to this challenge?
