McLean's KETTLER Hires Veteran Real Estate Executive David Bevirt

MCLEAN, VA — McLean-based real estate investment, development and property management firm KETTLER has appointed commercial real estate executive David Bevirt as its new managing director of corporate leasing.

In the newly created role, Bevirt will oversee leasing efforts across the company's growing portfolio, with a focus on office, mixed-use and large-scale redevelopment projects.

According to KETTLER, Bevirt brings more than 40 years of experience in commercial leasing, mixed-use development and urban redevelopment projects in markets across the United States.

"David has built a strong reputation for leading commercial leasing strategy and execution on some of the most ambitious and complex mixed-use projects in the country," James Nozar, KETTLER's president of development, said in a statement. "He understands how to position projects for long-term success, create meaningful partnerships and bring vision to life."

Before joining KETTLER, Bevirt served as chief operating officer at Ellison Development, where he helped oversee the company's development portfolio and planning work connected to the proposed Gas Plant District redevelopment project in St. Petersburg, Florida.

He previously served as executive vice president of leasing strategy at Strategic Property Partners, leading office leasing for Water Street Tampa, a large mixed-use redevelopment project. Earlier in his career, Bevirt was a senior vice president at Brookfield, overseeing leasing and marketing for a portfolio of 25 office properties in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia.

"KETTLER has a strong reputation for disciplined growth and a vision that is resonating across some of the country's most dynamic markets," Bevirt said in a statement. "The opportunity to bring my experience to a firm with this kind of vision and momentum, in markets that I know well, was incredibly compelling."

Bevirt earned a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture and a master's degree in urban planning from Purdue University. He also serves on the board of directors of The Florida Aquarium.

Founded in 1977 and headquartered in McLean, KETTLER is a vertically integrated real estate investment, development and property management company focused on mixed-use and multifamily projects. The company says it has developed more than 25,000 multifamily units, 8 million square feet of commercial space and more than 78,000 homes in 25 master-planned communities.
