Langley High School Secured After Neighborhood Police Incident
Police were investigating a suspicious person in the neighborhood, prompting the school to be secured.

MCLEAN, VA — Langley High School was temporarily under secure the building status Monday afternoon as police investigated a neighborhood incident.
Around 2:50 p.m., the school was notified of the police incident, prompting the school to be secured, reads a letter from Principal Kimberly Greer. This meant exterior doors were locked and students were required to remain inside. Fairfax County Police tweeted that they were looking for a suspicious person spotted in a backyard.
Students and buses have since been released.

"Staff reacted swiftly and appropriately, and our students behaved in an exemplary manner," reads the principal's letter. "At no time was anyone on school property in any danger."
