MCLEAN, VA — Langley High School’s Saxon Stage is preparing to perform its spring musical, “Freaky Friday,” from Wednesday, April 27 through Saturday, May 7.
The musical is based on the novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films, starring Jodie Foster in the 1976 version and Lindsay Lohan in the 2003 version, that tell the story of an overworked mother and her teenage daughter who magically swap bodies and then have just one day to put things right again.
By spending a day in each other's shoes, Katherine and Ellie come to appreciate one another's struggles, learn self-acceptance, and realize the immeasurable love and mutual respect that bond a mother and daughter.
