Man Accused Of Sexual Assault Of Woman In Tysons

Fairfax County Police are seeking additional witnesses in the early March incident.

TYSONS, VA — Fairfax County Police have charged a man for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman in Tysons earlier in March.

Officers responded to a March 4 sexual assault report in the 1500 block of Cornerside Boulevard. The victim had been sitting on a bench around 4 p.m. when a man approached her, talked with her, and allegedly sexually assaulted her. Police say the woman screamed and was able to escape. When the man continued to follow her, a bystander escorted the victim inside a business.

The man was spotted in the area again on March 12. Police responded and took the man, Mohamed Souidi, no fixed address, into custody. He was charged with object sexual penetration and abduction. He is being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
