Man Crashes Own Car, Falsely Reports It Stolen In Tysons
A man crashed and abandoned a car in Tysons then falsely reported it stolen, according to police.

MCLEAN, VA -- A man was arrested Tuesday after falsely reporting his own car stolen at Galleria Drive and Tysons Boulevard in Tysons Corner, Fairfax County Police say.
Around 1 a.m., the man reported to police he was assaulted and his car was stolen. Virginia State Police arrived to find his car on the Capital Beltway with severe damage. Investigation determined the man crashed his car, abandoned it and falsely reported it stolen.

Claudio Martinez Juarez, 18, of Sterling was arrested and taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. Fairfax County Police charged him with filing a false police report, while Virginia State Police charged him with several traffic violations.
