Man Hits Police Car, Occupied Home In McLean

A man hit two police cars and crashed into a McLean home while trying to evade police.

MCLEAN, VA—A man crashed into police cars and a McLean home while trying to evade police Sunday in the 1700 block of Great Falls Street.

Around 9:15 p.m., the suspect was trying to avoid police but brushed against the side of a police cruiser. The car's headlights went out but the suspect continued to drive before crashing into another police car and an occupied home.

No one inside the home was injured, but one officer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police arrested and charged Tyler Johnson, 23, of Fairfax with malicious wounding of a law enforcement officer, disregarding a police signal to stop and several drug-related offenses.
