McLean 2017 Halloween Sex Offender Safety Map

Ahead of trick-or-treating, find out where registered sex offenders are listed as living in McLean.

MCLEAN, VA—Before the kids go out trick or treating on Halloween, it is a good time to take inventory of who is living in your neighborhood.

According to the Virginia Sex Offender Registry, there are nine registered sex offenders living in McLean. The registry, maintained by the Virginia State Police, goes by U.S. Postal Service mailing address, and not all were convicted in Fairfax County or the state of Virginia.

The map is not meant to discourage trick-or-treating, as there are restrictions in place for sex offenders on Halloween. Those on probation with restrictions related to contact with children are not permitted to pass out candy during trick-or-treat. Offenders must keep their porch lights off and not open their doors to trick-or-treaters.
