McLean-Based Clinical Nutritionist to Speak at Upcoming Autism Partnership Meeting

The meeting will take place in Oakton on Saturday at 3 p.m. and will be hosted by the Autism Society of Northern Virginia.

A clinical nutritionist from a local pharmacy will be giving a free lecture at the Autism Society of Northern Virginia’s upcoming The Autism Partnership (TAP) meeting.

Dr. Hengameh Allen-Schaal, PhD, a clinical nutritionist from Access Compounding Pharmacy (ACP) in McLean, will give the lecture on Saturday, July 11 from 3-5 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Autism Society of Northern Virginia’s headquarters on White Granite Drive in Oakton.

“As a clinical nutritionist, Dr. Allen-Schaal will speak about the benefit of nutrition on autism management,” states an ACP news release promoting the event. “Her discussion will include what to eat, what not to eat, and how it all affects the health of individuals with autism.”

TAP is described as an adult life skills program aimed at helping adults with autism live independent, successful, fulfilling lives.

The event is free of charge and open to the public. No tickets or reservations are required.
