McLean Center Cancels July 4 Fireworks, More Summer Events
The community center may offer some programs in the late summer depending on the public health outlook.

MCLEAN, VA — The McLean Community Center has canceled more events in light of the new coronavirus crisis. The cancellations include Fourth of July fireworks at Langley High School and full-day summer camps. McLean Day, which would have happened on Saturday, May 16, was previously canceled.
Full refunds will be available for canceled summer camps, including Camp McLean and The Old Firehouse Summer Camp Trip. The community center plans to announce more details about free virtual two- or three-day virtual activities in place of camps.
"Without the ability to hire staff, prepare activities and meet licensing requirements, we are unable to offer these programs," MCC said in a message to members. "We have chosen to announce this decision now to allow our patrons and their families the opportunity to make alternative summer plans."
