McLean resident wins national title at Summer North American Bridge Championships

Stephen Drodge of McLean, Va., claimed victory in the Grand National Teams Flight A event at the Summer North American Bridge Championships (NABCs), one of the 18 championship-level events held in Washington, D.C., from July 20 to 30.

This is the Drodge’s third first-place NABC title. The Grand Nationals Team Flight A is pictured below (left to right): Sylvia Shi of Rockville, Md., Jian-Jian Wang of Clarksville, Md., Alexander Prairie of Arlington, Va., and Stephen Drodge of McLean, Va.

The NABCs are held three times a year across the U.S. and Canada to bring together players of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced, with opportunities for everyone to play daily from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. The 2016 Fall NABCs will be held in Orlando, Fla., from Nov. 24 to Dec. 4.
