I write this not only because I'm the proud mama of a Girl Scout working to earn her Gold Award, but because the Girl Scout Gold Award #gsGoldAward is often overshadowed by the comparable Boy Scout Eagle Award. The Girl Scout Gold Award is the most prestigious award in the world for Girl Scouts, and the most difficult to earn.
As a Gold Award Girl Scout, you’re challenged to change the world—or at least a corner of it. The Gold Award inspires girls to become leaders and share their ideas and passions with their communities.
Several girls of McLean Troop 2325 are working towards their Gold Awards. They are all inspiring leaders whose Gold Award Projects will provide a positive impact to underprivileged girls on a global level.
These projects include "First Aid is for Everyone Everywhere" and "Achieving Happiness Through Healthy Lifestyles".
How can you help? Attend a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser/Supply Drive to learn more about these Gold Award Projects and enjoy a spaghetti dinner!
