McLean's Best Parks: Clemyjontri Park
McLean has some fantastic parks -- but which ones should you visit this summer? We'll help you out.

It's summertime, which means it's time for outdoor fun. But where are the best places to go in McLean for your summer fun needs? Starting this week, we're highlighting the best McLean has to offer when it comes to public parks.
When you first arrive at Clemyjontri Park at 6317 Georgetown Pike, the first thing you're going to notice are the colors -- every shade of the rainbow bursts out at you at this popular local playground.
But that's not all that's unique about the park. It's also a place where "every child is welcome" -- and that includes children who have to use wheelchairs, walkers, braces or who have sensory or developmental disabilities, according to the website.

Ramps connect all playground structures, and swings have high backs and other safety features. Wheelchairs can roll easily on the rubber surfaces of the park, and equipment is intentionally colorful to provide a sensory rich atmosphere for kids.
There's also a carousel and picnic pavilion, and plenty of parking -- 81 spaces to be exact.

The playground is free to enter, although groups must pay per participant -- $5 for Fairfax County residents and $10 for out-of-towners. Families don't have to worry about paying this fee though -- it only applies to nonprofit and commercial groups, like daycare centers and church groups.
