New Bus Route From Tysons To New York City Launched
The bus route from Tysons runs with one-way fares as low as $25.

TYSONS, VA—Ever want to go on a bus trip from a station location close to home? OurBus, a tech company specializing in crowdsourced inter-city and commuter bus routes, will launch an express bus service from Tysons to New York City on Sunday, Nov. 18.
The service will start with three dates per week with one-way fares starting at $25. The Tysons bus stop is located on Dolley Madison Boulevard in front of the McLean Metro Station. The bus will have stops in Bethesda and Rockville, Md.
The company decided to start the route following positive feedback from a pilot program over Labor Day weekend in Maryland. It has also received requests from Northern Virginia residents to start service there.

"We saw a terrific opportunity to provide local [Tysons] and Maryland residents a more efficient, less stressful travel option to NYC," said OurBus co-founder Axel Hellman in a news release. "Rather than traveling to a city center such as Arlington or D.C., and paying for parking, our customers can board our buses close to their home and work."
OurBus joins a selection of bus routes from Northern Virginia to the Big Apple offering an alternative to DC's Union Station. On the bus, riders get complimentary bottled water, Wi-Fi, reclining seats and charging ports. The new route is done in partnership with DC-based transportation company Chariots for Hire.
