New Dominion Women's Club Seeks Volunteers for SHARE Food Drive

The New Dominion's Women's Club Seeks Volunteers to assist with a food drive at Giant to benefit local food pantry at SHARE on April 7th

The New Dominion Women’s Club invites neighbors in our community to help with the food drive to support our local food pantry at SHARE on April 7th (rain or shine). The drive will be held at Giant grocery store on Chain Bridge Road, McLean with distribution at SHARE. See sign-up genius for details. The food drive will help SHARE provide groceries to qualifying residents of McLean, Falls Church, and Great Falls. Faisa Stafford is coordinating on behalf of New Dominion Women’s Club. SHARE’s mission to serve those in need includes many areas. In addition to having a grocery story style food pantry, it also donates laptops and furniture, hosts a Holiday Party, conducts a Back-to-school supplies program, provides financial guidance, and more. The New Dominion Club is celebrating 50 years of fellowship and service. The club has been a long-standing supporter of SHARE. The New Dominion Women’s Club is a 501(c)3 civic organization committed to enhancing the quality of life in our community through volunteer service and financial contributions while providing an opportunity for fellowship among women. It is a member of the Greater Federation of Women’s Clubs as well as the Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce. In support of its mission, the club plans several community fundraisers, service projects and activities throughout the year. Members select a minimum of four local non-profit organizations to support annually. Funds raised through club initiatives are awarded directly to those beneficiary organizations, which in 2016-17 totaled more than $20,000. Founded in 1968, the New Dominion Women’s Club was named Outstanding Non-profit Organization of the Year in 2004 and Volunteers of the Year in 2013 by the Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce.
