The Next Chances for Snow in Northern Virginia

Can't get enough of the white stuff? Forecasters say there are more chances this week for snow.

Enjoying a snow day Tuesday? There may be more snow in our future, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Here’s a look at when Northern Virginia may see more snow:

  • Wednesday: Snow showers likely after noon. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
  • Saturday night: A chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
  • Sunday: A chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 38. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.

Something else to watch out for this week: Deep-freeze temperatures move into Northern Virginia Wednesday night, with lows around 8 degrees and with winds kicking up to as much as 24 MPH, the wind chill will be as much as -1 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

The highs on Thursday and Friday won’t get out of the teens: Thursday’s expected high is 15 degrees and it’ll feel even colder with wind gusts up to 26 MPH. On Friday, the high will reach 19 degrees, according to the weather service.
