NoVa Weather Forecast: When Is Next Chance Of Snow?

Parts of Northern Virginia face a roller coaster forecast from mid-70s to a chance of snow this week.

MCLEAN, VA — It'll continue to be warm these next couple weeks in parts of Northern Virginia, peaking at 77 degrees on Wednesday, but we could see some snow just two days after that. It is still winter, after all.

The National Weather Service forecasts some snow showers on Friday morning as temperatures dip to a high of 44 degrees and a low of 26 degrees. The snow may turn into rain later on, so accumulation appears unlikely, but at least you'll get a glimpse of the white stuff before spring temperatures set in for good.

The NoVa forecast calls for a 30 percent chance of rain and snow showers on Friday, although mostly sunny, with a high near 43. Temperatures overnight on Friday will drop to a chilly 29 degrees.

Saturday will be sunny but cool, with a high near 49.

It'll be part of a chilly end of the week and start of the weekend, but things will warm back up into the high 60s by Sunday and into next Monday, before swooping back down into the 50s and 40s.

Tuesday will mark the end of month, which is on track to be the warmest February on record in the D.C. area since record-keeping began back in the 1870s.
