Police Make Arrests for Attempted Robbery, Burglary in McLean Police District

Fairfax County Police arrested a Maryland man for attempted robbery in the McLean Police District over the weekend.
The incident occurred Sunday afternoon at approximately 1:35 p.m. on the 1600 block of International Drive. The victim was approached by Charles Armstrong, 20, of Temple Hills, Maryland, who engaged the victim in conversation, then assaulted them and stole their belongings.
Armstrong fled the scene but was apprehended by responding officers. He was charged with malicious bodily injury and carrying a concealed weapon.

Local police also arrested 18-year-old Colton J. Mahowald, of McLean, two 17-year-old males from Great Falls and a 16-year-old male from McLean for burglary at Langley High School on Saturday.
School security officers were alerted of alarms triggered at the school, and responding officers arrested all four suspects.

- 2100 block of Evans Court, 2009 Suzuki GSXR 1000 motorcycle.
- 1800 block of Olney Road, Ford F-150.
