Police Report Attempted Robbery at Knifepoint in McLean

Fairfax County Police reported Wednesday that there was an attempted robbery at knifepoint in McLean Tuesday night.

The attempted robbery took place in the 6800 block of Elm Street, Tuesday at 8 p.m.

The victim was walking in a parking lot when he was approached by a man. The suspect displayed a knife and demanded money.

The suspect fled on foot. The victim did not require rescue. The suspect was described as white, between 18 to 20 years of age, and about 5 feet 7 inches tall.
