Puppy Stuck Under Tree For A Day Rescued In Tysons Area

The dog had been stuck under the tree roots for over a day when crews came to the rescue.

TYSONS CORNER, VA—A puppy stuck under a tree for over a day was saved by Fairfax County Fire and Rescue crews from Tysons Corner Saturday.

The fire and rescue department says the dog got stuck in the roots of a 40-foot tree. He had been chasing a groundhog Friday night. The owner couldn't find him immediately but spotted him under the tree roots Saturday.

Crews had to dig and use a hand saw to get the puppy out.
