Report: Prada Store to Open Thursday at Tysons Galleria
Italian luxury fashion house to open its doors at Zone C, Level 2.
Prada, the Italian luxury fashion house, open its doors Thursday at Tysons Galleria, the upscale shopping center in Tysons Corner, according to a report by the Washington Business Journal.
The retailer sells luxury purses, footwear and clothing. A pair of sneakers can cost you more than $500; a shoulder bag, more than $3,000.
The newspaper reports that the Tysons’ store was designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi. He has collaborated with Prada since 1982 and designed all of their stores worldwide, according to his Web site.

Prada got its start in 1913 when Mario Prada, Miuccia Prada’s grandfather, opened a shop of luxury goods in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in Milan, according to the Prada Web site.
Tysons Galleria is located at 2001 International Dr. in McLean.
