Robbery Thwarted Near Tysons Corner Metro Station
A woman was injured in an attempted robbery near the Tysons Corner Metro Station Tuesday morning.

MCLEAN, VA -- A woman escaped an attempted robbery with minor injuries on Chain Bridge Broad near the Tysons Corner Metro Tuesday morning. Fairfax County Police are looking for an unknown suspect.
Around 8:34 a.m, the 26-year-old woman was walking when a man approached from behind. The unknown suspect pushed her and tried to take her purse. The man left after a brief struggle while the victim shouted for help and refused to hand over her purse.
Police were not able to locate the unknown suspect in the area. The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated on scene.

The unknown suspect was described as black, between 25 and 30 years old and about 6 feet tall. He wore a gray hoodie, blue jeans and white shoes and carried a green backpack.
