MCLEAN, VA — With the assistance of the Cobb County Police Department in Georgia, Fairfax County Police detectives apprehended four suspects in connection with a series of residential burglaries involving homes in McLean, Great Falls, Oakton and Reston.

Starting last December, the "Rose Ruse" burglaries involved a fake delivery person with roses knocking on the front door of a home to see if anyone was inside. Once it was determined that no one was there, associates of the fake delivery person would break into and burglarize the home.

In January, investigators identified the vehicle the suspects used for the burglaries. On Jan. 17, the car was spotted in a Cobb County residential neighborhood. Working with detectives in Fairfax County, Cobb County police took the four suspects into custody for a burglary committed in their jurisdiction.
