McLean, VA – The Rotary Club of McLean is proud to announce its accomplishments for the year 2025-2026, the induction of the new board of directors and club president and share an exciting vision for the upcoming year. We also extend a heartfelt invitation to community members who are passionate about service to join us in our mission.

Celebrating 2025-26 Achievements
2025-2026 was a remarkable year for the Rotary Club of McLean. Highlights of our achievements include:
•Our 3rd annual Jingle Run 5k.
•Our 14th annual Chocolate Festival featuring multiple chocolate vendors and family fun.
•Increased fundraising efforts and McLean Foundation contributions resulted in over $83,000 going to13 grant applicants receiving funds for local and international projects. Grant recipients include
▪Timberlane Elementary School Literacy Program
▪Lewinsville Retirement Residences
▪Strategic Water Alliance
▪McLean Project for the Arts
▪Potomac River Keepers Network
▪Africa Youth Rising (Ghana)
▪Scholarships for local High School Seniors
▪Homestretch
▪Partner for Surgery (Guatemala)
These accomplishments reflect the dedication and hard work of our members, volunteers, and community partners.
Introducing the 2026-27 Leadership
On June 26, the club thanked outgoing president Michael Falcone and District Assistant Governor Ambreen Rizvi inducted our new board of directors and club president for the 2026-27 year. Our leadership team is committed to continuing our legacy of service and community impact:

•President Elect: Kamara Kalyanasundaram
•Secretary: Kamara Kalyanasundaram
•Treasurer: Paul Sawtell
Upon installation, President Hendrixson shared her key initiatives for the upcoming year.
•Community Impact through Strategic Service Projects by prioritizing initiatives that directly serve local needs.
•Strengthening Partnerships and Collaboration by actively seeking out and cultivating partnerships with other clubs and nonprofits like Second Story to multiply resources, expand outreach and enhance the visibility of Rotary’s work.
•Sustainable Club Growth and Engagement by a commitment to membership development, improving retention.
•Leadership Development and Legacy Building by emphasizing the value of mentorship value and work to pass on Rotary values and knowledge to new members.
•Continued Public Presence in McLean through events such as water sales at McLean Day and the annual fireworks display, participation in Winterfest, and Flags for Heroes.
Our vision is to offer McLean residents of all ages the opportunity to join us in supporting efforts to improve the quality of life both at home and abroad.Together, we can make a difference.
