Northern Virginia will get its very own Shake Shake beginning Monday, when the popular burger chain opens at Tysons at 11 a.m., at Tysons popular new 1.5-acre outdoor plaza. (And from a photo on Instagram, we see something fun that will keep folks busy while they’re waiting on their burgers: Ping pong tables.)
What is Shake Shack? Here’s a description from its Facebook page: “Shake Shack is a modern day ‘roadside’ burger stand serving the most delicious burgers, fries, hot dogs, frozen custard, beer, wine and more!” Its burgers they say are “100% all-natural Angus beef, vegetarian fed, humanely raised and source verified. No hormones or antibiotics – EVER.”
On the menu? You’ll find a variety of burgers, hot dogs, fries, frozen custard, beer, wine and even dog treats.

Dcist reports that the Tysons location will get its own special frozen custard “concrete,” called the Tysons Treat and features “vanilla custard, banana, chocolate sprinkles and chocolate graham crackers from local bakery Pollystyle.” Five percent of the sales from that custard will go to the advocacy non-profit, the Potomac Conservancy.
