Storms May Bring Wind, Hail Sunday

Thunderstorms are likely Sunday and Sunday night. The most likely time for severe weather will be in the afternoon and evening.

A hazardous weather alert from the NWS warns of possible damaging wind gusts, large hail, isolated tornadoes and locally heavy rainfall that could lead to flash flooding. The alert includes Prince William, Fairfax, Arlington, Stafford and Spotsylvania counties, as well as Fairfax City, Alexandria, Manassas, Manassas Park and Falls Church.

A coastal flood advisory is in effect for Anne Arundel County, Md., for Sunday morning.
