We just held our second meeting for our elementary age elementary book club and it was a great success! We are right in the middle of The Secret of Platform 13 by Eva Ibbotson when things start to get really exciting. Here were our discussion questions:
What kind of boy is Ben? How is he different from Raymond?
Imagine you attended the Midsummer’s Eve “magic show” in the park. Would you react like Raymond? How would you feel?
Who are the Harpies and why did they come to the king and queen in Chapter 11? What special job do they and their hounds usually have on the island?
