Suspects Wanted In McLean Burglaries Linked To 3 Similar Crimes In DC

Fairfax County Police are trying to identify two men they say committed two burglaries in McLean and three in D.C. on the same night.

MCLEAN, VA — Fairfax County Police detectives are asking the public's help in identifying two men wanted in connection with a pair of recent burglaries in the McLean area and three similar crimes in Washington, D.C.

Officers responded around 2:04 a.m on Tuesday for the report of a burglary at a business in the 7500 block of Leesburg Pike. A preliminary investigation revealed that two men broke into and stole a safe containing cash the business, according to police. As officers searched the area, they learned the same suspects had broken into another business in the same block.

Investigators were able to link the two suspects with three other burglaries that occurred earlier that same night in the District.

Exiting a vehicle around 2:26 a.m., the suspects broke into three business in the 3500 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. The suspects gained access by breaking windows, taking cash and property from the three businesses. They then drove off in the same vehicle.

On Thursday, FCPD released surveillance photos obtained by MPD and described the two men as slim and wearing black hooded sweatshirts, gloves, and black pants.They left the McLean in a black BMW SUV.
