Things McLean Is Missing, According To Readers

MCLEAN, VA—We asked what was one thing McLean was missing, and you answered. In fact, the responses were overwhelming when we posed the question on Facebook.

We got more than 50 comments, not including replies, and went through each response to understand what residents want in their future here in McLean. We tallied the top responses by counting likes and multiple comments expressing the same concerns.

It's not surprising that one of the top choices was revitalizing the downtown area, especially after developers backed out of a mixed-use project last summer. Other major concerns are walkability as well as restaurant and shopping options. Most readers did not name a specific business they want, but a significant portion hope to see walkable downtown businesses and some kind of ice cream shop open.
