Three-Alarm Fire Prompts Road Closure In McLean

BREAKING: Firefighters are battling a fire on Dolley Madison Boulevard Monday night.

MCLEAN, VA — Fairfax County Fire and Rescue responded to a three-alarm fire in McLean Monday night.

The fire broke out in the 800 block of Dolley Madison Boulevard. Crews found a fire in the basement, prompting the additional alarms to be requested. Fire was reported to be showing from the roof. All residents were reported to be safe.

As of 10:27 p.m., the fire was under control. Investigators and firefighters will be on the scene for several hours.

Residents were asked to avoid the area. Dolley Madison Boulevard was closed in both directions for the fire response. Arlington County and Montgomery County, Maryland firefighters assisted with the response.
