Ticket Sales for McLean Holiday Homes Tour to Start in October

Four houses will be featured in the small, close-in neighborhood known as Langley Farms.

Tickets for the annual McLean Woman’s Club Holiday Homes Tour will go on sale the first week of October at three retail stores in McLean, Vienna and Great Falls and will continue through December 4th, the day of the tour. The ticket outlets will be Mesmeralda’s Gifts, in McLean; Karin’s Florist, in Vienna; and Great Dogs of Great Falls. Tickets will also be available on December 4th at the tour houses and at the club’s free MarketPlace, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1205 Dolley Madison Blvd., McLean. Both events will start at 10 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. Tickets will cost $25 before December 4th and $30 on that date.

As in previous years, four houses will be featured, but all will be located in the small, close-in neighborhood known as Langley Farms, on the other side of Dolley Madison Blvd. from Trinity Church and less than a half-mile away. The houses are large, custom designs built on earlier home sites and will be decorated with the holidays in mind, with Woman’s Club members serving as hostesses. The tour will be self-guided, but minibuses based at the church will facilitate access; street parking will be limited.

The MarketPlace will feature numerous vendors from local businesses, a variety of handmade crafts and collectibles, a Woman’s Club bakery, Homes Tour tickets, a lunch and dessert concession, a raffle and a silent auction of high-value merchandise and services.

The honorary host for both events will be Mr. Doug DeLuca, local designer, builder and community supporter. All proceeds of the tour and the MarketPlace will go to local charities and nonprofits, as well as providing for scholarships and education.
