The Top 3 Cocktail Bars in McLean

Nothing beats meeting up with a friend for a cocktail after work on a summer's day, and McLean has three very solid options for creative and delicious cocktails that you may not know about.

1. Social Oyster Bar, 1307 Old Chain Bridge Road -- This modernist cuisine restaurant specializes in a fresh raw bar with oysters from the Pacific Northwest, New England and also from Maryland and Virginia locations. But it also has a creative cocktail list, where you can get a classic like a Manhattan, or a unique offering like the "Last Word" -- made with gin, green chartreuse, Luxardo and lime -- or a "La Vie Est Belle," which combines vodka with elderflower liqueur, lemon and bitters.

2. Earls Kitchen + Bar, 7900 Tysons One Place -- This popular bar chain is found all over Canada, but it only has seven locations in the United States, including one right here at Tysons Corner Center in McLean. Its offerings include "Bees Knees," which contains aviation gin, cointreau, honey, fresh lemon and angostura bitters, or you can get the "Marilyn Monroe," which has Skyy vodka, passion fruit, vanilla and prosecco. The "Cherry Long Island" offers a fruity twist on a classic, with Skyy vanilla vodka, Bombay Sapphire gin, Bacardi white rum, Espalon Blanco tequila, lemon and Fentiman's cherry cola.

3. Seasons 52, 7863L Tysons Corner -- Another popular chain, this grillhouse can be found all over the country, although its only location in Virginia is at Tysons Corner Center. Among its cocktail offerings are the "Mango Jalapeno Crush," which mixes Prairie organic gin with housemade lemonade, mango, jalapeno, cilantro and cucumber, and the "Bourbon Berry Bramble," which includes Maker's Mark bourbon, St-Germain elderflower liqueur, fresh raspberries, blackberries and lime.
