Holiday Events At Tysons Malls: Tree Lighting, Santa Photos, More

TYSONS, VA — It's almost time to kick off the holiday season, and festive events have already begun at the two Tysons malls.

Visitors can expect traditional favorites like photos with Santa and a holiday tree lighting. There's also a sensory-friendly Santa event for children with special needs and an opportunity for pet photos at both malls.

Below is a roundup of events at Tysons Corner Center and Tysons Galleria as well as hours for Black Friday as holiday shopping gets underway.

Tysons Corner Center

Holiday Tree Lighting: Nov. 19, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Kick off the holiday season with a tree lighting on the Plaza. Santa will make an appearance to light the holiday tree, and there will also be community performances, live music complimentary s’mores, hot chocolate station, kids crafts, outdoor specialty pop-up market of mall retailers, holiday sips from Barrel + Bushel, giveaways and more.

Photos with Santa: Nov. 12-24

Head to Fashion Court in Tysons Corner Center for a visit with Santa and photos. Santa is vaccinated as well as staff, but those with exemptions undergo testing. Visitors may take off their mask for the photo if they would like. Reservations are recommended.

Breakfast with Santa: Dec. 4, 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Get some personal time with Santa at the level three food court. This event will feature a complimentary catered breakfast, child-focused entertainment, and activities. Reservations are not required, but place settings will be first come, first served.

Pet Nights with Santa: Dec. 6, 13, 20

Bring your furry friends dressed in their holiday best for photos with Santa. Reservations are encouraged but not required.

Storytime with Santa: Dec. 11, 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

The jolly man in red will provide an unforgettable story time featuring holiday classics. Reservations are not required.

Thanksgiving and Black Friday hours

• Thursday, Nov. 25: Closed
• Friday, Nov. 26: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Tysons Galleria

Pictures with Santa: Nov. 18 to Dec. 24

Visit Santa to get holiday pictures and family memories you won't forget. Reservations are recommended.

Pet Nights with Santa: Mondays, Nov. 29 to Dec. 20

Your furry friends can join the holiday fun for photos with Santa. Get the whole family together for a holiday photo. Reservations are encouraged.

Santa Cares Day: Sunday, Dec. 5 and 12, 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Children with special needs are invited to this sensory-friendly event. Enjoy a visit with Santa and photos before the mall opens. Reservations are encouraged.
