Watch Retailer To Open Tysons Corner Store

Detroit-based upscale watch retailer Shinola will open a Tysons Corner Center store in the late summer.

MCLEAN, VA -- Detroit-based retailer Shinola will open a new location at the Tysons Corner Center in the late summer. The store has not set an official opening date.

Shinola sells watches, bicycles, leather goods, journals, jewelry and audio equipment. The 1,149 square-foot Tysons Corner Center store will feature most of the company's products. Other features include complimentary monogramming and a Willard Watch Bar, where customers can personalize watches with selections of cases and straps.

The new location will be the company's first in Virginia. It is also Shinola's 20th store and second in the Washington, DC area. The other Metro DC location, which opened in 2015, is located at 1631 14th Street NW, Washington, DC.

“DC is very very important market for us as a brand,” Shinola President Jacques Panis told Washingtonian. “Our mission is to create jobs here in the United States and that resonates with the community there. People in Washington understand the importance of business like Shinola and what we represent.”
