VIDEO: Fire Destroys Home Under Construction in McLean

Amazing video footage posted to YouTube and shot by Alex Brauer shows a McLean home under construction going up in flames as firefighters battle the blaze Saturday night.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to the single family home under construction at 6703 Lupine Lane in the McLean area of the county. Units were dispatched at approximately 11:15 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014.

Crews found a fully involved single family home that was under construction. The structure was not occupied. The first arriving units called for a second alarm and RIT level 1 bringing approximately 50 firefighters to the scene. Firefighters conducted an aggressive defensive fire attack to quickly contain the fire.

There were no injuries. Investigators are continuing their investigation into the cause of the fire. Damage estimates are pending.
