Warm Sour Cream: McLean Restaurant Violations

MCLEAN, VA — Fairfax County regularly conducts health inspections for local restaurants. The frequency of inspections on the type of food served and how it is prepared.

“In our experience, it is unrealistic to expect that a complex, full-service food operation can routinely avoid any violations,” states the Virginia Department of Health’s website.

Here are some of the violations from recent inspections in late June. Among the violations were cooled and hot foods measured at improper temperatures at a number of restaurants.

Greenhouse Bistro: 2070 Chain Bridge Rd G3/G6, VIENNA, VA 22182, last inspection: June 20

violations: improper employee handwashing, employee failing to wash hands after activity that could contaminate food, open drinking container in food prep area, raw food stored over ready-to-eat food, foods not dated or discarded within 24 hours, foods without raw/undercooked food disclosure on menu
